St. Patrick's Festival
"Do not neglect to do good and to share what you have; God is pleased by sacrifices of that kind." Hebrews 13:16 We, the St. Patrick's Festival Committee, feel privileged and excited to share that our 28th annual festival is on Saturday, March 18, 2017! We look forward to spending time with our long time parish friends as well as develop new friendships! It will be held in our gym with an event for the entire family. Aside from our delicious food, we have live Irish entertainment, a carnival full of fun games and prizes, raffle and dance. Our meal cost will remain the same of $9/adult and $6/child. The festival instructions, which include the food assignments, are on the reverse side. Please read carefully as all instructions are very important to the success of our festival. Volunteers are also vital to the success, not to mention how the fun working with and getting to know our fellow parishioners. Sign-up sheets will be in the narthex so please take the time to sign up as they will only be up a few weekends. The dance will feature the DJ who has helped us out for most of our festivals and will be held from 7:00 - 10:00 p.m., ending with our big raffle. The cost will remain the same of $2/person with a limit of $10/family. Any children under 3 will dance for FUN (No admission) and NO ONE UNDER THE AGE OF 17 WILL BE ALLOWED IN WITHOUT A PARENT PRESENT AT THE DANCE. PATRICK'S FESTIVAL INSTRUCTION SHEET - 2017 ALL PARISHIONERS are asked to provide food items noted below AND a $10 cash donation to purchase the remaining menu items and paper products. Please put your donation in an envelope marked "FESTIVAL" for the collection by February 19th. RAFFLE TICKETS: Each family is asked to sell a minimum of two books of tickets. The tickets will be handed out after weekend masses. The raffle tickets are the big money maker. We really need your support on this! The seller of the grand prize ticket wins $100, therefore, please put your name and phone number on the back of each ticket stub you turn in to verify the seller. WORKERS: Sign-up sheets are located in the narthex. Everyone's help is necessary and appreciated. Please sign up for a time in any unfilled area. Put only one name per space. FOOD ITEMS NEEDED: PIES: (Large sliceable pies that serve eight). NO cream pies. If you bring pumpkin, please bring whipped cream. SALAD: (Each salad should serve 15 people). We would love vegetable, Jell-O, pasta, or fruit salads. DINNER ROLLS: (No Brown and Serve) We are happy with just 1 dozen. SODA POP: (2 liter bottle) Please bring just 1 liter for the carnival games. CAKES: These are for the cake walk at the carnival. Please securely wrap each cake with plastic wrap and bring in a disposable pan. We welcome ALL cakes. PLEASE BRING FOOD ITEMS TO THE GYM BY 10:00 A.M. ON SAT., MARCH 18TH. Desserts will be sold by St. Patrick’s Home and School Association. Fish frys will be on March 3, 10, 24, 31 and April 7. There will not be a fish fry on March 17 due to the parish Festival.
