Weekly Update - 07/27/2014

HOT! HOT! HOT! The weather did not stop our subcontractor “Epp Concrete” from pouring the footings on the north, south, and part of the east sides of the new church, plus two of the large pads where the huge steel beams will be placed. There was a total of 126 cubic yards poured. The beams will be the corner support for the main part of the church. The concrete was done by Wednesday noon. On Thursday and Friday our masonry contractor started prepping for the laying of the concrete block next week. Soon we will be seeing walls go up! Praise be to God!! Kingery Construction worked all week transferring the dirt removed to make the footing holes to thewest side of the church. We are continuing to work on the pews. Presently we are working on the mid pew supports and the railing that will go along the top of the back rest of the pew. Erv Wemhoff is making the kneeler supports and swing pieces. If you are interested in joining, planing, or sanding, please contact MaryJo at the Rectory.
