Organization St. Vincent de Paul Society

The St. Vincent de Paul Society is a worldwide organization of Christians who meet in parish groups to help those in need in their own community. Their work primarily consists in visiting the poor and those in need who call for help, and then facilitating their assistance.

Meetings are normally held on the Second and Fourth Wednesdays of the month at 7:15 PM. There are no requirements but a desire to join in helping others out of a love for God. If interested in being a member and helping our community, contact the St. Vincent de Paul President or the assistant pastor who is their spiritual director.

Anyone who would like to help the society by making a donation can contact the president or HELP-YOU line. Frequently needed items include beds, dressers and tables, but most all household items can be used. Monetary donations can also be placed in the poor box located in the back of the church.
Members of the parish who are in need can contact St. Vincent de Paul by calling their HELP-YOU line at 435-7968. A thrift store is also located at 1911 R Street, 438-3135.
