The following is a continued segment of the history of St. Patrick parish found in the 1908 Time Capsule. It is reprinted here exactly as it was written there [except for the note that follows]
Father Peter Alcantara Welling remained as pastor till November 8th 1895. The second pastor Fr. Juvenal Schnorbus till Nov. 19, 1896. Then Fr. Matthias Sasse till October 7th 1897. Then Fr. Albert Dager till Sept. 27.1900. Then Fr. Leander Schell till July30.1901 He was succeeded by Fr. Casimir Dietrich until July 30 1907. The present incumbent Fr. Polycarp van Mourik took charge Aug. 1, 1907. Fr. Leander Schell procured one more lot adjoining the former three, so that the parish now possesses four 50 ft. lots No. 13, 14, 15, 16, Block No. 44. This present building is being erected on lots 14 and 15.
“During Father Casimir's time the debt of the church was removed and the interior of the edifice adorned with two new side altars with the statues of the Sacred Heart of Jesus and Of Mary Queen of Heaven. Also a new organ was procured at the cost of about $100.00.” [Note: Father Casimir Dietrich, O.F.M., was pastor of St. Patrick's from August of 1901 through July of 1907.]
